  • Hi! First time listener here. I got linked to this blog from 4thletter and decided to check out your podcast. I enjoyed listening to it and will probably check out the backlog. Keep up the good work!

Now, about The Nipple Issue in Young Avengers, I think I might have located the problem factor; John Dell, inker of most of the issues and all of the covers. I honestly hadn't noticed it before you pointed it out, but looking through my issues I realized you were right, and not just about Kate; the most blatant example I can find is in issue 3, where an enlarged, unconscious Cassie's nipples are clearly visible through her shirt (there are probably at least four different fetishes embodied on that splash page). Anyway, I noticed that this problem was mostly (or only) prevalent in the issues inked or co-inked by John Dell, and on the covers where Kate is prominently visible, which are all inked by Dell. I guess what this means, for what it's worth, is that it's the work of just one perverted inker, and not some conscious decision by Marvel to sexualize a bunch of underage girls.

  • I found a very strange version of "Everybody wants to be a cat" on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EK2mr9RPsJE This even weirds me out.

Oh, and here's the original http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAID_yuFOSY

I liked "Lady and the Tramp" better. Still racists, but has the divine Peggy Lee singing. I think she co-wrote the songs. Can't find a clip I like. Oh well.
