    The thing you spoke about in this ep, why heroes don't go out and do things that would change the world long term versus fighting bank robber X, was actually looked at in JLA: Liberty & Justice by Paul Dini and Alex Ross.

    They tried to explain why Superman can't just go and produce food for all of the hungry. Dini and Ross did a respectable job I thoughtm at least for this one situation. You might want to check it out if your library has a copy.

    While I agree that that is what heroes should do if they were real, I can't say the idea of reading about such exploits on a regular basis sounds like something I would want to do. Maybe some great writer could make that work, but it sounds like that would be a little boring.
